I'm not quite sure how many people have tried, but I hope this is helpful to those who haven't or those who are thinking about putting an arena in their scenario. I decided to place an arena in a town in my scenario, as a sort of diversion for people who wanted to meander. This is how to make one, and it's very simple. You can have up to 10 arena monster groups, with a limit of 30 monsters total on the level. There might be ways around this, but it's unlikely that a player will keep playing more than 10 times, or that you can think up enough different groups of creatures. I made the arena using Increment Flag. Set the first node for increment flag (x,x) by 1 (increasing). The next node is under If-Then: Stuff Done Flag? Make this look for (x,x) at your highest # (for example, 9. which means that you have 9 monster groups). If 9, then use One-Time Town Enc. to call up Enc. 9. If less than 9, then Stuff Done Flag? (x,x) for 8. If 8, then use One-Time Town Enc. to call up Enc. 8. If less than 8, then Stuff Done Flag? (x,x) for 7.... all the way until Stuff Done Flag? (x,x) for 1. This is a quick way to make a fun little diversion for your scenario. And make sure the monsters drop some sort of gold, or else it'll be no fun! Another note: Make sure that if you have windows in your arena room, that NPC's aren't visible... or else your monsters will attack town people! Also, in my version, I have a gate that opens when you step next to it, but there are runes to prevent the monsters from leaving and rampaging the town. Good luck!
