Tech-Support for Homeland: the Stone of Night (Windows Only)
Homeland version 1.0.3 is now ready. Below you'll find a description
of the bugs fixed in each version.
Download the appropiate patch (You can find out what version
you're currently running by starting Homeland and looking in the
upper right hand corner of the title screen.):
NOTE: These patches are only for the full version of Homeland.
Demo users should download the Demo and
reinstall it.
Unfixed bugs and workarounds:
- Warning: After solving the murders in Lauriston, don't
re-read the book in the archive about ghosts, or Calidon will
not realize you've solved the murders. There is absolutely NO
reason to re-read that book. (This is not fixed in v1.0.3)
- A few people reported a problem with text not appearing correctly
on certain screens in the game (such as the Status screen for
example). To correct this problem you need to switch off Hardware
Acceleration for your display. To do this: right click on your
desktop, select Properties (this should bring up the Display Properties),
select Settings, select Advanced Options, select the Performance
tab, and finally switch hardware acceleration to none. Select
OK to close the screens. You will need to restart your system.
- The demo occasionally quits unexpectedly. Should this
happen, follow the instructions above, and the problem will likely
go away. You may also wish to install the latest sound and display
drivers for your machine.
