Homeland Bugs fixed in v1.0.3
- 1) There was a combat bug which caused a crash that is now
fixed. The situation under which it occurred is complicated
and not worth trying to describe.
- 2) A storyline bug which did not require everyone to be in
the room with Farthim has been fixed.
- 3) The freeze spell no longer locks up if you use items while
frozen.
- 4) The mana on the status screen is reported correctly.
(It was reported correctly on the main screen before, but not
the status screen).
- 5) There was a sound FX bug which could cause a crash when
too many missiles were flying.
- 6) The inventory system has been reworked to allow smoother
control. Part of this involves enlarging the clickable portions
of the player's portraits. Another aspect is the addition of
'quick-looting', where you can right-click on items in dead PC's
inventories in order to transfer them to your inventory.
- 7) Lost party members will teleport back to the group if
they get too far separated.
- 8) Many spelling and grammar corrections have been made.
- 9) A bug in the Training rooms in Buolkaloch would allow
your player to carry more items than can show up on screen.
These items would be effectively 'lost'.
- 10) A check was inserted to see if Homeland was already running.
Two Homeland's running at the same time could cause problems.
- 11) A bug causing a crash with a specific set of spell and
inventory switches has been fixed.
- 12) Hotkeys and formation settings are saved when you go
up and down levels of dungeons.
- 13) Fixed a crash during save if you are standing on a boat
but are not 'boarded' on it.
- 14) Fixed a crash which could occur in the Sea of Storms
if lightning managed to strike right where you were positioned.
- 15) Fixed a storyline bug in Buolkaloch which made it possible
to keep Shantra in your party.
- 16) After many requests, I added more sources for torches
to the ruins and library in the Demo and Full Versions. I also
changed the fisherfolk in Buolkaloch to stop being such pests
by requesting conversation. However, in order to see these changes,
one would have to start a new game, as saved games will have
the old settings.
